Obituary published on Legacy.com by John F Givnish Funeral Home - Academy Rd on Oct. 3, 2025.
John Krisher Carson, 90, passed away peacefully at home on September 27, 2025. He was born on September 6, 1935 in Philadelphia to the late Lalen and Gladys (Beam) Carson. When he was a very young child, he and his family moved to Bristol, Pennsylvania where he grew to adulthood. He was affectionately known to his family as Buzz. John spent the majority of his working life installing and performing maintenance on HVAC units. After he retired, he worked part-time as a driver for Enterprise Car Rentals until he was 85 years old. He spent his last five years enjoying life and keeping busy at home.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Marion (Hinderliter) Carson; one son, Daniel Carson; two grandsons: Ryan Carson and Michael Carson Jr.; and seven brothers and sisters: Arthur Rhodes, George Rhodes, Gladys Oppmann, Harry Rhodes, Russell Rhodes, Virginia Asay, and Deanna Carson.
John was adored by his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren who will miss him very much. He was a wonderful man who dearly loved his family. Nothing was more important to him than the welfare of his loved ones, and he cherished spending time with them. He possessed a great sense of humor and enjoyed teasing family and friends alike with a mischievous smile and a twinkle in his eyes. A proud veteran of the U.S. Army, he talked often of serving his country. In 2018, he was immensely pleased to travel with the Bucks County Tour of Honor to Washington, D.C. in honor of his service. He was a life-long Phillies and Eagles fan. His wardrobe was filled with tee shirts, jerseys, and ball caps sporting the team logos.
His favorite holiday was Christmas. He enjoyed wearing his Christmas pajamas and singing holiday music, particularly "Marshmallow World." A great lover of music, he often could be heard randomly singing a line or two of his favorite tunes. Among his favorite singers were Frank Sinatra and Nat King Cole. For many years, John took great pleasure in maintaining the fish pond he built in his yard. It was his pride and joy, and he spent many hours beside his pond, enjoying the fish and the beautiful foliage he planted around the pond.
He is survived by four sons: John J. (Marybeth), Michael (Tracy), Robert (Rosemary), and David (Laurie); three step-children: Brenda Dallas, Charles Dallas (Beverly), and William Dallas (Marie); 11 grandchildren: Matthew, Erin, Shawn, Brianna, Leah, Brittany, Melissa, Chas, Juliana, Chel, and Victoria; and seven great grandchildren: Dean, Carter, Broderick, Sydney, Brynn, Jude, and Ella. Two additional great grandchildren are on the way and will sadly miss the chance to know him.
