Joann Mary Cicalo, born March 24, 1936. At the age of 89 she passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on June 17, 2025.

Loving wife of the late Joseph Cicalo. Mother of daughter Paula (Cicalo) DeMarco, husband Paul DeMarco; daughter Gina (Cicalo) Peterson, husband Syd Peterson and son Joseph Cicalo and wife Donna (Natzel) Cicalo. Grandchildren Ryan and Joel DeMarco, Ashley (Cicalo) Malinowski, husband Evan Malinowski, Amber Cicalo and Alyssa Cicalo and great grandchildren Keira, Kennedy, Thomas DeMarco, Eli Cicalo and Giovanna and Luca Malinowski. Survived by her siblings Sylvia Angott, Jeanette Kittle, and James Trombetta. Joann was preceded in death by her parents James Trombetta and Antonia (Nina Vitale) Trombetta.

Joann married the love of her life, Joseph, on June 19, 1954. They enjoyed dancing, music, hosting pool parties, camping, traveling, bingo and hitting the casinos in Detroit and Las Vegas until he passed in September of 1998. She returned to high school and obtained her GED at the age of 43. Joann returned to the workforce as a special needs aide for children in the Utica School district at the age of 59. She enjoyed golfing, playing cards, bingo, casinos, dominos and traveling with family and friends. She loved her winters in Florida. At the age of 80 she purchased her own Lexington RV resort home and enjoyed all the activities with another group of great friends.

She was a three-time cancer survivor, strong and never quit fighting. Her last words were “I had 89 years of a great life, and I love my God, and I Love all of you.”
