JoAnn Gray, age 75, of Forrest City, went to be with her Heavenly Father, Sunday, July 27, 2025, surrounded by her family. Mrs. Gray was born October 15, 1949, in Cherokee, Texas and was the daughter of Walter Patton Stine and Christine Dillard. She worked several jobs to care for her two sons. She was of the Baptist faith and attended Second Baptist Church in her younger years. From there, she moved her membership to First Baptist Church in Forrest City. Mrs. Gray knew her Lord and Savior and talked to him daily. She was a loving and compassionate mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. When Mrs. Gray wasn't spending time in her beautiful yard, that she worked so hard in, she would spend time crocheting afghans for her family and friends. She delivered many afghans, and even after she was admitted to hospice, she found joy in making them for other patients. Mrs. Gray is survived by her companion of twenty-six years, Charlie Huckaba, two sons; Billy Gray Jr., and wife, Chanda, and Brian Gray, and wife, Megan, all of Forrest City, three sisters; Rhonda Brewton, and husband, Don, of Florida, Linda Reppeto of Caddo Valley, and Janet Daniels, all of Little Rock, seven grandchildren; Christopher Gray, and wife, Karmin, Stormie Cosby, and husband, Ryan, Ranie Gray, Gabriel Gray, Kevin Sullivan, and wife, Ashley, Megan Sullivan, and James Sullivan and John Raven Hill, and three great-grandchildren; Luke Gray, River Cosby, and Easton Sullivan. She was preceded in death by two sisters; Kathy Warren and Judy Parker. The family would like to give a special thanks to Elite Hospice for their compassionate care. Elite's team of nurses and office staff are top notch and made sure JoAnn received the best care and had everything she needed to be comfortable in her home. Services for Mrs. Gray will be held Graveside, 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, July 30, 2025, at the Hughes Cemetery in Forrest City. In lieu of flowers, memorials are to be made to the First Baptist Church, Caring Touch Quilting Group, 507 N. Rosser, Forrest City, Arkansas, 72335. Stevens Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
