Joanne Defreitas, 90, of Bartonville, passed away at 1:14 PM on Thursday, July 3, 2025 at The Loft of East Peoria. She was born on January 22, 1935 in Peoria, a daughter of Joseph and Pauline (Morey) Angel.
Surviving is her son, John Defreitas of Peoria; grandchildren, Nicholas Defreitas, and Bradley Defreitas; several nieces and nephews.
Preceding, Joanne in death were her parents; grandson, Zachary, four brothers, and two sisters.
She was a supply manager, working for a wholesale florist in Peoria, retiring after 45 years of service. She was a member of the Catholic faith. She enjoyed spending time and talking with her grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held from 9:30 AM until 10:30 AM on Saturday July 12, 2025 at Endsley-Sedgwick Funeral Home in Bartonville. Following the visitation on Saturday, graveside services and burial will take place in St. Joseph Cemetery in West Peoria. Rev. Curtis Atchley will officiate.
