Joanne Kiernan Obituary

Joanne was born on August 20, 1930, in New York City to Ernest and Anna Thies. She was preceded in death by her beloved children, William Kiernan and Colleen Molter.
Joanne is survived by her son, Russell Kiernan; son-in-law, Douglas Molter; daughter-in-law Shelley Kiernan; grandchildren, Dustin Molter, Derek Kiernan, Lauren Kiernan, Liam Kiernan, and Kai Kiernan; her three great-grandchildren and her devoted nieces and nephews.
Joanne will be warmly remembered as a leader in the Rockville Centre community, serving numerous terms as an officer and president of the Rockville Centre Sandel Senior Center. She was fondly known for her writing and was often invited to read her poetry at various events.
She will be dearly missed by her family and many friends.
