Joe Cameron, age 79, of Naples TX., was called home to worship with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, March 23, 2025, in Mt. Pleasant TX. Graveside services will be held on Friday, March 28, 2025, at 2:00 P.M. at the Liberty Hill Cemetery in Argo TX., with Bro. Damien Swan officiating and Charlie Cummings, Matthew Cummings, Peyton Cummings, Tony Crowston, Bryan Lennox, and Wayne Theriot serving as pallbearers and David Lennox serving as honorary pallbearer. Visitation will be held at 1:00 P.M. prior to the service at the cemetery under the pavilion.
Joe was born on December 9, 1945, in Titus Co. TX., to Lewis Victor and Ina Marie (Sargent) Cameron. He married Ruthie Lee Cummings on July 24, 1966, in Marshall TX.
Joe was a SGT. and served his country in the U.S. Airforce from 1966 to 1972. He held many jobs, but his greatest career was being a Gospel Minister for the Church of God of Prophecy and leading people to the Lord.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Ruthie Cameron of Naples TX., his brother, Lewis Adrian Cameron and wife Wanda of Harleton TX., and his sister, Louise Marie Theriot of DeKalb TX., as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lewis and Ina Cameron.
Memorials can be made to the St. Jude’s Hospital in Memory of Joe Cameron.
