It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Rosalia E. Garcia, age 83, of Clearfield, Utah. Rosalia passed away peacefully on October, 11, 2025 surrounded by the love of her children, siblings and grandchildren. Rosalia was born on February 28, 1942 in Cleveland, New Mexico to Alejandro and Beroniz Martinez. She grew up in a family that valued faith, hard work and love for one another.
She is preceded in death by her late husband Amado B. “Mickey” Garcia; her parents, Alejandro and Beroniz Martinez; brother, Joe Martinez, sister, Emma Garcia and step-son, Eloy Garcia. Rosalia affectionately known as “Rosie” by those who loved her, leaves behind a legacy of kindness strength and unconditional love.
She is survived by her son, Anthony Martinez; her daughters: Barbara Beaumont (Michael), Linda Caperell and Lisa Davis. She is also survived by her siblings: Ben Martinez, Charles Martinez; Rachael Gallegos (Chris), Elsie Jaramillo, Lucy Perez and Orlinda Griego (Willie). In addition, Rosie leaves behind step-children: Anthony (Tony) Garcia (Christine), Linda Molina and Janet as well as many cherished grandchildren: Amanda Martinez, Jesse Martinez, Anthony Lopez, Joseph Lopez, Tiffany Lopez, Derek Davis, Lindsey Davis, Robert Davis and Christopher Obrien. Her great-grandchildren include: Jesse James Martinez, Simone Martinez, Nautia Martinez and Moses Martinez. Vincent Chalker, Valerie Chalker and Diesel Sales; she was also blessed with a great-great granddaughter, Alina Rodriquez.
Rosalia was proud of her family and treasured every moment she spent with them. Rosalia’s gentle spirit and enormous heart were known to all that met her. She never complained faced life’s challenges with grace and always showed patience and compassion. Her greatest joy was being surrounded by her loved ones, whether she was planting flowers in the Spring, playing bingo with her friends or cheering on the Utah Jazz; She was never too busy for her family and she gave them her undivided attention. Her warmth and kindness touched everyone around her and her memory will forever live in the hearts of those who loved her dearly.
Though she is gone from our sight, she will never be forgotten.
To Honor Rosalia’s wishes there will be no funeral services.
Rosalia will be laid to rest at the Clearfield Cemetery, Clearfield, Utah beside her “late” husband Amado B. Garcia “Mickey"; step-son, Eloy Garcia and granddaughter, Star Rea.
