Joel “Tony” Anthony Lieske passed way unexpectedly on July 2, 2025.
He was born on June 2, 1964, in St. Louis, Missouri to Virgil and Gerry Lieske.
He graduated from Albert Lea High School in 1982, and later earned a degree from Wadena Technical College in 1992. For 30 years, he worked as an Electrical Lineman for Xcel Energy.
Joel cherished the great outdoors—he thrived when he was hunting, fishing, and gardening. He had a love for cooking and was a foodie.
He is survived by his daughters, Allison (Tanner Neidenfeuhr) Lieske and Morgan (Thomas Sippie) Lieske; their mother, Marcia Lieske; brothers, Robert Lieske, Richard (Cathy) Lieske, Peter Lieske, and Raphael (Michelle) Lieske; sister, Jeannine (James) Hagedon; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the family farm (87251 255th St. Austin, MN) on Saturday, July 12, 2025, 2pm-6pm.
Hoff Celebration of Life center is assisting the family.
