Joel P. Valenziano, age 89.
Preceded in death by his wife, Peggy; parents, Joseph and Mildred; brothers, James and Donald Valenziano; sister-in-law, Jeri Dekker (husband John); and brother-in-law, Steve Butts (wife Gloria- living).
Survived by his daughters, Deborah Branch (Andrew) and Denise Valenziano; granddaughters, Traci Zavala (Brett), Jennifer Vaughan (Justin) and Christy Winscot; great-grandchildren, Kinsley and Jocelyn Shed, Addison and Brody Zavala; in-laws and spouses, Richard Butts (Barbara), Lucia Martinez (Louie), James Butts (Liz), Jean Heider (Charles), Bill Butts (Lisa), Ted Butts (Jody); and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
VISITATION: Sunday, July 13th, 2 to 4 p.m., Bellevue Memorial Chapel.
FUNERAL SERVICE: Monday, July 14th, 1 p.m., Bellevue Memorial Chapel.
INTERMENT: Bellevue Cemetery.
Military Honors: United States Army National Guard Honor Guard and American Legion Post #331.

Joel and I met at HTL in about 2002. We hit it off thanks to both having a no nonsense attitude and we both had been in trucking a long time. We were friends through his cancer and my sister dying. He retired and we stayed in touch.
He was a good man and a special man. Somehow we lost contact so every so often I´d check online for his obituary. Today, there it was.
He hasn´t been forgotten nor will he be. RIP old timer.
To the family- while we never met know that Joel was appreciated and respected.
