John David Baker
September 15, 1986 – May 22, 2025
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of John David Baker, who left us too soon on May 22, 2025, at the age of 38.
Born on September 15, 1986, in Independence, MO. John was a beloved son, brother, and uncle. His warmth, kindness, and unforgettable laugh made a lasting impression on everyone he met. He had a big heart and an even bigger sense of humor-always ready to lend a helping hand or share a joke to lift someone's spirits. John had a way of making ordinary moments unforgettable.
As a son, he brought joy and love to his parents' lives. As a brother, he was loyal, protective, and deeply loved. As an uncle, he was playful, encouraging.
John also carried burdens that were hard to bear. He struggled with addiction, and though he fought with strength and courage, it remained a part of his journey. But those who knew him best know that his story was so much more than that. He was full of heart, always trying, always loving, and always leaving an impression.
His life reminds us that people are not defined by their struggles but by their love, their laughter, and the memories they leave behind. John will be missed more than words can express, but he will live on in the stories, smiles, and hearts of those who loved him.
John is survived by his loving family who will carry his memory in their hearts forever. David (Father) and Anna Baker (Mother). Ashley Baker (Sister) Cayley, Kash, Paisley, Angel, and Paloma. Dale Baker (Brother) Shannon, Haddon, Heidi, Hope, and Hadley. Alex Baker (Brother).
A private service will be held to celebrate his life.
