John "Buddy" Bonifacious, age 92, of Rocky Face, passed away Sunday, July 13, 2025.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Vivian Bonifacious; son, Tim Bonifacious; brother, Carl Bonifacious; and sister, Louise Hartness.
John served in the United States Army and fought in the Korean War. He was also retired from Yellow Freight.
He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Greg and Lisa Bonifacious of Rocky Face; sisters, JoAnn Richardson and Wandi Gaines; brother and sister-in-law, Gordon and Mildred Bonifacious; grandchildren, Shane Bonifacious, Grace Moore, Cody Bonifacious, Ashlee Wega, Shelley Chappell, and Robbie Chappell; and great-grandchildren, Ella Wega, Gage Voyles, Luxton Fagundes, and Reese Chappell.
A funeral service will be held at the Rocky Face Chapel of Julian Peeples Funeral Home on Wednesday, July 16, 2025, at 2:00 PM, with Rev. Marty Greene officiating.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, July 16, 2025, from 11:00 AM until the service hour of 2:00 PM.
Burial will be in Gordy Memorial Gardens.
