John Burns Obituary

Born on October 12,1955 in Groton, Connecticut , John was known for his kind and honest heart, generous spirit, and unwavering sense of duty. He enlisted in the Navy in 1973 and served as a BTCM completing 21 years of honorable service before returning to civilian life.
After his military career, John worked and retired in Milton Florida. He had a deep love for bowling, golfing and treasured time spent with family and friends.
He is survived by Ligaya Burns his beloved wife of 48 years , his children Leslie and James, grandchildren Jasmine, Chloe, James Jr. and Karmah. siblings Anne, Josie, Maggie and Cathy , and many nieces, nephews, and friends who will miss him dearly.
A funeral service will be held on Friday July 18th at St. Rose of Lima 6451 Park Avenue, Milton Florida 32570 with visitation from 1:00-2:00pm and a Funeral Mass starting at 2:00 p.m. A graveside at Barrancas National Cemetery will be held at a later date.
