John Fitzgerald Fallon, 59, of Essex, Maryland, passed away peacefully at home surrounded
by his family on Sunday, June 22, 2025, in Dundalk, Maryland.
Born on October 20, 1965, in Havre de Grace, Maryland, John was the son of the late Joseph
Fallon and Ethel Joyce Fallon. He graduated from Havre de Grace High School in 1984.
Despite facing significant health challenges in his early life-including being told he would
never walk again-John persevered with resilience and strength, qualities that would define
his life and legacy.
In March of 1992, John married the love of his life, Tina. Together, they raised their family in
Essex, MD, and recently celebrated 33 years of marriage.
John is survived by his beloved wife, Tina Fallon, and their children: Jessica Griffin
(Christian), Joseph Evans (Melissa), Ashley Fallon (Matthew), and Brittany Ray (Brady). He
was a proud and loving grandfather to Alysa Kaptain, Torin Griffin, John Fallon, Everett Evans,
Briggs Evans, Jaxon Ray, and Rowan Bohning.
He is also survived by his siblings: Joseph Fallon and Jennifer Fallon, along with many nieces
and nephews who will remember his humor and kindness. He was predeceased by his
siblings Carol Sweatt, Ronnie Fallon, Mark Fallon, and Christopher Fallon.
John always took immense pride in his work. He began his career in car mechanics, where
his innate responsibility at age 16 led to multiple leadership opportunities. He moved to
Havre de Grace Marina with his brother Joe, where his long career within the marine
industry would begin. The rest of his career included stints at Tidewater Marina Inner
Harbor, Tidewater Marina Havre de Grace, Maryland Marina, and Port Annapolis Marina
where he was known for his knowledge, reliability, and passion for boating.
He eventually changed course to work at a supplier called E&B Marine, and eventually
became a store manager for West Marine where he was able to help set up stores in other
states. He eventually moved back to Tidewater HdG as store manager. At both Tidewater
and Port Annapolis Marina after, he turned small parts rooms into thriving supply stores. His
goal oriented personality helped him succeed wherever he went.
John will be remembered for his humor, his strength, his unconditional love for his family,
and his ability to overcome adversity. He maintained a life-long loyalty to his hometown of
Havre de Grace, spending much of his spare time at Susquehanna State Park- giving tours
at Rock Run with his grand historical knowledge, spending family days at Deer Creek, and
providing detailed knowledge of the marine industry to a generation of watergoers on the
Susquehanna and Chesapeake Bay.
A celebration of life will be held on July 9, 2025 from 6-9 p.m. at the Havre de Grace
Ambulance Corps (1601 Level Road, 21078). Please wear casual clothes as John would prefer
everyone be comfortable. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to the Havre
