Obituary of John David Gilmore
John David Gilmore, age 64, of Danville died Friday, February 21, 2025 at home, after a long battle with Pancreatic Cancer. Born April 17, 1960 in Harrodsburg, KY, to the late Warren and Frances (Devine) Gilmore. John David was a Christian. He was a retired Bowling Alley Clerk at Danville Bowlarama Lanes. He enjoyed watching UK Basketball, bowling, music and watching bowling tournaments.
If you knew John David you knew that he was the life of the party, you would know that he could make friends with anyone he encountered and having fun and laughing is something he took pride in. He loved taking road trips, eating good food with great friends and most importantly his cat Roscoe.
He is survived by two sisters: Penny (Gary) Ahnguist of Danville, KY and Becky Taylor of Nicholasville, KY, and one brother: Smith Gilmore of Arizona; Several Nieces and Nephews; Close and Special Friends, Julie, Chris & Morgan Ryan of Danville, KY and Christianna Penman of Danville, KY.
He is preceded in death by his Brother, Edward Gilmore.
A private burial is scheduled for a later date.
Memorials are suggested to Danville Humane Society, 778 N Danville Bypass, Danville, KY 40422 and American Cancer Society, 1500 College Way, Lexington KY 40502.
