Dub was born in Cunningham, Texas March 14, 1941, to Newton Henry and Marie (Scott) Goforth. They preceded him in death as well as a daughter Ginny Phifer.
Dub was a self-employed Paint and Body Mechanic.
Survivors include his daughters: Peggy Sue Goforth Coffman of Lake Creek, Texas, and Kimberly Kay Goforth Jones of Cooper, Texas, eight grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, brothers: Mickey Goforth of Kensing, Texas and Larry Goforth of Powderly, Texas.
