John Andrew Guidas was born December 23, 1966 to the late Virginia (Damiani) and Michael Guidas (both deceased) and grew up in Bridgeport, Pennsylvania. He is survived by his wife Joann and stepsons David (Topieniak) and Gage (Smith), his brothers Michael (and wife Julia), Anthony, his sister Gina (and husband Tim Mhay), nephews Micheal (and wife Adrianna), Brandon (Mhay), Connor (Mhay), and a great nephew, Graham. John was most recently employed at Blue Origin, Cape Canaveral, FL as a security guard. Prior to moving to Florida, John was employed as a mechanic and most recently worked at Main Line Mower in Berwyn, Pennsylvania. John's many hobbies included art painting, 3D printing, riding and working on his motorcycle and flying remote control planes. After moving to Florida, he became a member of the Sons of the American Legion and the American Legion Riders and was serving as Finance Officer for both entities at the time of his passing. He also humbly and proudly served briefly on the North Brevard Honor Guard, prior to his full-time position with Blue Origin. He was passionate about helping our veterans and volunteered many hours helping cook breakfast on Sunday mornings, volunteering at events, and fulfilling his duties as an officer. He and his wife Joann grew up together in Bridgeport, Pennsylvania and met at a young age. After reconnecting in 2012, they got married and John proudly became a wonderful stepfather to both David and Gage. He loved his family deeply and was a very dedicated family man. In lieu of flowers, John's favorite charities were National Veteran's Homeless Support (NVHS.org) and Special Olympics (support.specialolympics.org).
