John Kaminski, 83, of Grovertown, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 3, 2025, at Memorial Hospital in South Bend.
Born on April 4, 1942, in LaPorte, Indiana, John was the son of the late Raymond and Pauline (Piotrowicz) Kaminski. He remained a proud resident of the area throughout his life. A dedicated and meticulous worker, John retired as a Quality Engineer from Alcoa Aluminum, where he made many lasting friendships.
On July 6, 1963, in Walkerton, John married the love of his life, Martha (Clark), who survives. Their love and partnership were the foundation of a life filled with devotion to family, laughter, and joy. A classic car enthusiast and a man with a deep love for children, John will be remembered most for the fierce love and pride he had for his family-especially his cherished grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who brought him endless happiness.
John is survived by his loving wife of over 61 years, Martha; his children: Kevin Kaminski, Kenneth (Jenny) Kaminski, Stefanie (Bruce) Summers, and Serena (William) O'Bryant; twelve grandchildren; twenty-eight great-grandchildren; two brothers, Stanley (Jeannie) Kaminski and Jerry (Wanda) Kaminski, and his sister-in-law Barbara Kaminski. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Steven Kaminski.
Per John's wishes, he will be cremated. There will be no visitation or services at this time. He will be laid to rest alongside Martha after her passing, as they always intended.
John was a terrific man-kind, generous, and deeply loved. His memory will be held close in the hearts of those who knew him.
