John Ray Mann, age 80 of Gadsden passed away on Sunday, July 6, 2025 at his residence. A memorial service will be held at a later date by his family.
He is preceded in death by his son, Brian Mann; brother, Bill Mann; and his parents, Willie and Dimple Mann; brothers-in-law, George Conn, and Howard Grantland.
Left to cherish the memory of Mr. Mann are his wife of 21 years, Janie Mann; sons, Heath Mann (Tammie), Stan Bowers (Mary), and Kevin Bowers (Michele); grandchildren, Haley Boozer (Tyler), Greg Myrick (Heather), Zaine Bowers, Braylon Bowers, Tyler Williams, Adam Williams, Keri Williams, and Whitney Baugh (Justin); great-grandchildren, Charlie Ann Boozer, Bryson, Bella, Brynlee, Bryar, and Beau Baugh, Jonathan, Emma, Anna, and Kory Williams; sisters, Sue Conn, Pat Hollis (Randy), and Betty Grantland; and several nieces and nephews.
John was of the Christian Faith. He worked for 40 plus years with Telecommunications. He loved Alabama football and Fords. John could do anything and was willing to help anybody. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather loved by all.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Scott Bradley, Jim Bradley, Jeff Bradley, Kevin and Stan Bowers, Jason Conner, and Kevin and Bailey Morton.
