With deep sorrow, we announce the passing of our beloved, John Vernon Noethen, who left us on June 28, 2025, at the age of 65. He brought joy to countless lives as a cherished son, brother, husband, step-father, grandfather and friend.
John was born on April 4, 1960 in Toledo, Ohio, where he grew up surrounded by a loving family. As the eldest of six siblings, he served as both a protector and a source of humor and happiness. He had a profound love for the beach, but nothing compared to his devotion to family, always being the life of every gathering.
He is preceded in death by his father, John Schroeder and his brother, Rodney Brock. He is survived by his mother, Joyce Schroeder; his wife, Suzette Noethen; his brother, Brian Schroeder; his sisters, Kelly Westbrook, Marjorie Morgan and Bobbie Koenig; brothers-in-law, Doug Westbrook, Keith Morgan and James Koenig, Sr. as well as his nieces and nephews; Justin Farwell, Destoni Westbrook, Adelina Bernal, James Koenig, Reshma Koenig, Taylor Koenig and Brooke Koenig. He is also remembered by close friends who will forever hold his love and legacy dear.
As we mourn this profound loss, we find comfort in knowing that John's spirit will continue to shine through the stories we share, the traditions we uphold and the boundless love he generously gave.
In his honor, there will be a memorial service on Sunday, July 13, 2025 at 4:00pm at Crowder Funeral Home in Dickinson, Texas.
