John Overton Obituary
John D. Overton, Sr., 69, of Fulton, NY passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, July 5, 2025, with the remote in his hand. Born in Fulton, he was a son to the late Howard Overton and Anita LaPlante. John was a lifelong resident of Fulton and worked as a Union Painter for Local 38. He enjoyed fishing, watching the Dallas Cowboys, and spending time with his beloved dogs, Piper and Bella. John was predeceased by his son, Richard; brothers, Leroy “Mutt” and Gary; sister, Joan.
Surviving are his wife of 47 years, Michele (McMullen); two sons, John and Mikey (Jessica) Overton; one grandchild, Caleb Hall; sister, Lois (Bob) Noel; his lifelong best friend, Joseph (Annie) Moore and several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be from 5-7 pm on Thursday, July 10 at Foster Funeral Home, 910 Fay Street, Fulton. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Paws Across Oswego County, 10 Klocks Corners Bldg 2, Oswego, NY 13126, or Oswego County SPCA, PO Box 442 Fulton, NY 13069, in John’s memory.
