Rogers JR., John of Cedar Hill, Missouri, was born January 17, 1944 in St. Louis, Missouri to John Rogers Sr. and Emma Hunter Rogers and entered into rest Saturday, April 19, 2025 Cedar Hil, Missouri at the age of 81 years.
He is preceded in death by his parents, to John Rogers Sr. and Emma Hunter Rogers. He is survived by his wife Debra K. Rogers; his children Matthew Grither, Kayce (Todd) Litton, Adam Rogers; his grandchildren Evan Litton, Emma Litton, Evan Singer, Ellie Litton, and Aiden Litton; his siblings Sandra (Roger) Northcutt, and Janice (Chris) Bellville along with numerous other extended family and friends.
John Rogers, a lifelong outdoorsman and beloved member of his community, passed away leaving behind a legacy as rich as the waters he fished. Known for his unwavering passion for fishing and classic cars, John brought people together through the things he loved most. For 35 years, he proudly organized and ran the annual trout tournament that became a cherished tradition for anglers near and far. His warm spirit, quick wit, and dedication to the simple joys of life left an indelible mark on everyone who knew him.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 24, 2025 from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at CHAPEL HILL MORTUARY, 6300 Highway 30, Cedar Hill, MO 63016. Funeral Ceremony will be held on Thursday, April 24, 2025 at 05:00 p.m. at Chapel Hill Mortuary in Cedar Hill, MO. Interment at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery pending.
