CRANBERRY LAKE- John C. Tulip, age 69, formerly of Cranberry Lake, NY, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, July 7, 2025 in Hudson, NY.
There will be a funeral for John on Saturday, July 26, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Hubert's Church in Star Lake. A celebration of his life will follow. Arrangements are with French Family Funeral Home, Star Lake. Condolences may be shared online at www.frenchfuneralhomes.com.
John was born in Ogdensburg, NY to the late Theodore and Josephine (Russell) Tulip, Sr. He attended Clifton-Fine Central School. On August 19, 1989, he married Amy Bullock. Even though their marriage ended, the two of them remained close friends. John had worked at the Newton Falls Paper Mill before becoming an x-ray technician and working for Claxton Hepburn Medical Center in Ogdensburg and River Hospital in Alexandria Bay.
John enjoyed golfing and watching football. His lawn was his pride and joy. He had a great sense of humor and was also very compassionate of others.
Surviving is his son, Kasey Tulip; a daughter, Gabrielle Tulip; three brothers, Gary and Donda Tulip, Keith and Paula Tulip and Theodore and Tasha Tulip, Jr.; three sisters, Anne and Lynn Hanley, Linda LaParr and Debbie and Jeff Rixon; two fur grandbabies, Baron and Lady and several nieces and nephews.
John is predeceased by his parents, Theodore and Josephine; a sister, Sandra Tulip and a brother-in-law, Larry LaParr.
In lieu of donations, the family ask that you send a card or call someone that may be lonely, sick or incarcerated.
