It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Johnny Jr. Duran, beloved partner, son, father, brother, grandfather, uncle, father in law and friend to many. On February 19th 2025 at the age of 62 he passed. He was born in Bakersfield CA May 30th 1962, moved and lived in LA for some of his childhood, later moved to Arvin and eventually Lamont and then reside in Shafter CA. He worked as a Mechanic for many years in agriculture as well as a trucker. He will be remembered for kindness, generosity, making people laugh, and being loved by all. As well as him being a great son to Ernestine Barrera and John Duran. He was a beloved brother to David Reyes, Roselle Duran, Danny, and Alfred Duran. He was an amazing father to all of his kids Johnny Duran, Jessica Duran, Christina Molina, Eric Duran, and Brittney Duran and step daughters Katie Williford and Misty Mcmillion as-well as his step son Kody Hacker. He loved all of his grandchildren. He lived a beautiful life with his partner in crime Vikki Hacker aka his “Baby” and his road dog Chloe. He always looked out for his family and the ones he loved. His memory will be cherished in all our hearts forever and always. Now he gets to dance in Heaven. He will be truly missed. Papa was a rolling stone. A memorial service will be held on March 7th at 1pm at Basham & Lara Funeral Care 343 State Ave, Shafter, CA 93263. The celebration of life will be March 7th at 3pm located at 507 Sawmill Court, Bakersfield CA 93312.
