Johnny Ray Robb, loving husband, dad, papa, brother and caring man to everyone passed away peacefully in his home on August 11, 2025. A proud veteran, serving as a Screaming Eagle, Sergeant Specialist E-5 in the 101st Airborne Division of the United States Army, he was awarded the Bronze Star medal, Air medal, Army Commendation medal, and Soldier of the month for his honorable tour in Vietnam.

Johnny was a 1965 graduate of North Posey High School. After bravely serving our country, he joined the Boilermakers Local 374, Hammond IN. He was a kind soul who met no stranger. He always put family first, and everyone was family including all animals. He loved working in his yard, playing pool, riding bikes, going to the movies, reading, remodeling houses, woodworking, and most of all spending time with family. He was a member of the VFW 6166, American Legion 5, Eagles 1717. He loved supporting local businesses and serving the community. The most honest, warmhearted soul to walk this earth, his mission in life was to serve his country and his people.

He is survived by his wife, Cheryl Robb; sons, Johnny Lee Robb, Christopher (Tori) Osban; daughters, Christina (Chris) Coburn, Monique (Eric) Wolfe; grandchildren, Lindsay (Dax) Newman, Seth Nelson, Colten (Cheyenne) Reynolds, Skylar (Tyler) Hayes, Dalton Reynolds, Railee Coburn, Clint Wolfe, Austin Williams, Jonathan Robb, Piper Osban, Mason Holbrook, Cadence Osban, Parker Osban; great-grandchildren, Braylin Jackson, Zaedyn Jackson, Kai Jackson, Isabella Newman, Beckett Hayes, Levey Hayes, Savannah Nelson, Landon Nelson; Siblings, Denny (Jenny) Robb, Dale Robb, Judy Miller, Rick Robb, Larry Robb, Lana Robb, Roberta (Dave) Johnson; lovely Lady dog and many loving nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his loving parents John and Mary Robb; daughter, Robin Holbrook (Gross); siblings, Linda Williams, Billy Robb, Jerry Miller, Diane Robb; precious dogs Nelly and Rascus, and many other beloved relatives and friends.

A graveside service for Johnny will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, August 16, 2025, at Blacks Cemetery west of Mt. Vernon on SR 62, with rites from the American Legion Owen Dunn Post #5 honor guard. A celebration of life will be held for Johnny at 4:00 pm at his daughter's house, 1250 Harmony Springfield Rd, New Harmony. Family and friends are welcome to come share their memories of Johnny with others.

The family would like to thank all of Johnny's doctors and nurses at the VA, Deaconess Cancer Center and Deaconess Infusion Center for the love and care provide throughout his fight with cancer.
