Jose Roberto "Bobby" Candelaria, 70, a resident of Bayard, NM entered eternal rest Wednesday, July 16, 2025 at his residence. He was born October 6, 1954 to Jesus & Beatriz Candelaria in Santa Rita, New Mexico.

He was a very hard worker and a loyal friend. He worked at Kennecott, James Hamilton and Ikard and Griffin. His family was the center of his life especially his mother and father. He could be a very hard person when he thought he was right. He was always there to help anyone in need. On his off time, he enjoyed fishing and hunting.

He is survived by his five brothers, Enrique Candelaria (Lillian) of Rio Rancho, NM, Juan Candelaria of Bayard, NM, Antonio Candelaria (Sylvia) of Bayard, NM, Ricardo Candelaria (Michelle) of Hurley, NM, Jesus Candelaria (Barbara) of Santa Clara, NM; his sister, Betty Herrera (Ray) of Bayard, NM; his numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.

The Holy Rosary will be held on Wednesday, July 23, 2025 at 10:00am at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church (Bayard, NM), recited by Dr. Gilbert Arizaga. The Memorial Mass will commence at 10:30am, with Father Martin Okonkwo officiating. Following the Mass, he will be laid to rest, next to his mother at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Cemetery.

Cremation will take place at Terrazas Crematory. Arrangements are with Terrazas Funeral Chapels and Crematory "Trust care for the ones you love" ~ 575-537-0777. To send condolences, visit www.terrazasfuneralchapel.com.
