Joseph Leroy Barlow
November 30, 1949 - June 27, 2025
Joseph Leroy Barlow affectionately known as Du-Deuce was born on November 30,1949, to the late Earnest Barlow and Louella Eaglin-Barlow. Leroy was a native of Grand Coteau, La. and a long-time resident of Lafayette, La, before spending his final years in Kaplan, La.
Leroy was no stranger to hard work, he began his career working offshore, before going on to drive trucks where after years of service he later retired from ILM in 2016. In his free time, he loved to watch western shows and playing at the casino. Leroy loved his children's fur babies, Prince and the late Honey Daniels Barlow.
He leaves to cherish in his memory one son: Joseph "Mooney" Barlow (Chasity); one daughter: Tineaka Barlow and their mother, Shirley Barlow; one sister: Margaret Barlow-Winter; two nieces: Vanessa Barlow and Melissa Barlow, and one great nephew: Mi'Khai Cormier.
Leroy also leaves his companion of over 20 years Maurica Arceneaux; three bonus daughters: Chasity Lanceslin (Westley), Ashley Milton and Brittany Comeaux; seven bonus grandchildren and two bonus great-grandsons.
He is proceeded in death by his parents: Earnest Barlow and Louella Eaglin-Barlow; one sister: Barbara Barlow-Lemon; two brothers in laws: Paul Lemon and Ray Winters, and one bonus son in law: Eric Milton.
