In high school Mr. Ford drilled in the laws of logarithms into my head to the point that I never have any trouble using them to handle real world calculations including financial returns. I thought everyone could do that until I realized that nobody outside his math teams could.
You dedicated so much of your time and effort to the students. Thank you Mr. Ford for the many extraordinary things you taught us.

Joe had a great sense of humor, was passionate about teaching math at CHS both during the day and at night school, and earned the respect of students, colleagues, and the community.

My condolences to the Ford Family. Joe Ford is fondly remembered by many of us who knew him at Chelmsford High School. It is with great fondness we remember talking about Michigan Football at lunch and just enjoying Joe's stories. Katy Sullivan

My prayers are with the family of Joe Ford. My Ford was a towering figure in my high school years. He was my math team coach and calculus teacher at Chelmsford High School, 1981-84. He inspired me to develop my knowledge, passion, and creativity in solving math problems. He took a personal interest in me and guided me to pursue a rigorous mathematics curriculum. He also provided tangible support for my participation in math competitions, even driving me home from PA in the middle of the night to get me home for my graduation day. I still enjoy doing math problems as a hobby and expect to teach math in some capacity down the road. I am grateful for the opportunity I had to learn from him and to visit him at his home a few years back and express these thoughts in person. Blessed be his memory and legacy.
