Joseph F. Myles, age 91, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, July 5, 2025. He was born on August 9, 1933 in Chicago, IL to Warren and Annie Jane (Taylor) Myles. On August 26, 1972, Joseph (Joe) F. Myles and Marjorie (Marge) J. Reinke were joined in holy matrimony and celebrated 41 loving years together before her passing in 2013. Together they raised four daughters and welcomed many grandchildren.
Joe served in the US Army as a Private First Class (PFC) during the Korean war. Throughout his life he had many interests and hobbies. His favorites were fishing, golfing, old cars, card games, watching old westerns, and caring for his flowers. He was an avid fan of the Chicago Cubs and was thrilled to witness the Cubs winning the World Series in 2016. He shared his sense of humor with everyone. His gift to make people laugh and put smiles on their faces will truly be missed.
He is survived by his four daughters: Kristine Kassin (Dave) of Wheeling, IL; Elizabeth Muttschall (Kevin) of Fenton, MO; Cynthia Rapier of East Lynn, IL; Eileen Stirriup (Matthew) of St. Michael, MN; eleven grandchildren and eighteen great grandchildren; niece, Terry Alvord-Merithew (Jim) of Oakland, CA; nephew, Timothy Alvord (Edna) of Libertyville, IL; sister-in-law, Barbara Finnegan of Southampton, PA; other relatives and friends.
Joe was preceded in death by his wife, Marge; his parents, Warren and Annie Jane; his sisters, Louise and Winnie; mother-in-law, Helen; sister-in-law, Lillian; brother-in-laws, Jack and Gene; son-in-law, Dean.
Family and friends are invited to attend the memorial/celebration of life for Joe. It will be held at Northridge Fellowship Church located at 12522 Main St., Rogers, MN 55374 on Saturday, August 9, 2025 at 10:00 am (visitation), 11:00 am (service), followed by a lunch reception at the church.
