Joseph David Paumi III, age 75, passed away on July 9, 2025 at his home in Eaton Rapids, MI. He was born on January 9, 1950 in Bridgeport, CT, the son of Joseph and Carmella ("Millie" Bonitatibus) Paumi. Joseph attended Central High School and received his college degrees from Bridgeport University. He was employed for many years at Intec in Trumbull, CT in varying capacities including lab technician, on-site engineer and manager of marketing and sales. After leaving Intec, he worked as a project manager for several other companies in the inspection equipment industry.
Essentially a quiet and modest man, "Joe" dabbled in many hobbies over the years including photography, stained glass working, and more recently, coin collecting. Mostly, he enjoyed long naps in his recliner and watching Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy every night with his wife. It never got old!
Surviving is his wife of 35 years, Cheryl (Dunn) Paumi; sons, Christian (Kerry) Paumi and Damien (Rachael) Paumi; stepchildren, Lee Niedermeier, Kelly (Billy) Godo; grandchildren, Jade, Kylie, Rilyn, Anthony and Lia Paumi; sister, Esther Paumi and brother, David (Denise) Paume. He was preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Mary Rose and Joanne.
Joe and Cheri were members Of Robbins United Methodist Church and sang for many years in the church choir.
A celebration of life is planned at a later date.
