Nelson Nichols Obituary

Nelson Clark Nichols Jr., of Cane Beds, AZ, passed away peacefully on February 15, 2026, at the age of 88 years old, surrounded by his family.

A man of quiet strength, deep faith, and unwavering devotion, Nelson served four years in the United States Air Force and was a devoted church and community leader. He worked tirelessly for his family, showing love through his guidance, his humor, and his steady presence.

He was married for 58 years to our mother, Charlotte (Lane), and later to his second wife, Patsy (Holmon). He was preceded in death by his daughter Charnel Hallman, son Nelson Nichols III, and grandson Anthony Nichols.

Nelson was a proud father to Tracy and Ron Gerber, Nathan and Shay Nichols, Heidi and Pat Flanery, Beth and Wade Orrender, Melanie (Reynolds) Nichols, Mona and Will Strasser, and Jamie and Wayne Dodd. He cherished his 27 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren, always making time to laugh, share wisdom, and offer encouragement.

His quiet acts of selfless giving and love have left lasting memories for all who knew him.

Nelson's legacy of faith, family, and integrity will live on in the lives he touched.
