Joseph Frederick Williams, 61,of Roxboro, died Saturday, December 11, 2021 at his home. Born in Los Angeles, CA, he was the son of the late James Frederick Williams and JoEllen Eastham Griffin.
Mr. Williams was the body shop manager for Tar Heel Chevrolet in Roxboro for 20 years and then later became the manager for Carolinas Collision Center in Durham. Joseph enjoyed cooking, riding his motorcycle and collecting guns. He loved his country and was very proud to be an American.
Surviving are his wife of 15 years, Betty Reaves Williams of the home; three children: Elsie Chandler (Brandon Arrowood) of Roxboro, Tim Chandler (Carmen Walker) of Roxboro and Caryn Duncan (Ben) of Gibsonville; four siblings: Virginia Henderson (Steve) of OH, James Williams (Carol) of Roxboro, George Willams and Roger Bradley of Daytona Beach, FL and Jen Suguitan, CA; eight grandchildren; one great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, cousins and other loving extended family members.
The family will receive friends at the home on Monday, December 13, 2021 from 4-6 PM.
Memorial service will be held 6 PM Friday, December 17, 2021 at the Brooks & White Chapel with the Rev. Vernon Wilkerson officiating.
Honorary pallbearers will be Robin Pendergraph, Chuck O'Hara, Wayne Rutledge and Mike Honeycutt.
