Josh's outlook on life was unexpected, unapologetic, and unforgettable - he was a wild card to the very end. He had his own unique way of expressing himself, and he was a constant source of support for his friends and family. No matter how you were feeling, he could always make you smile with his infectious laugh and a borderline inappropriate joke.

A fiercely loyal Green Bay Packers fan, Josh wore green and gold with pride-even when it meant benching his First Round fantasy football pick in favor of a random Packer no one else has ever heard of. He enjoyed attending concerts and loved cruising with the windows down and the radio on.
Josh also had a passion for botany, and loved cajoling his friends into trying the spiciest peppers he could grow. His approach was always a fair one-he would never ask you to try a pepper without experiencing the pain with you. In fact, he believed that no pepper challenge was complete unless shared side by side, eyes watering and laughing through the heat. Whether tending to his garden or showing off his latest fiery harvest, he approached life with the same curious mind and eagerness to explore new hobbies that defined so much of who he was.

Josh is the son of loving parents, Alan and Anita Sawyer of Oskaloosa, IA. He is remembered by his children, Cameron and Adrian, and their mother, Brittney, with whom he shared many meaningful years. He is also survived by his brother, Adam, and sister-in-law, Sophie; cherished nephew and niece, Levi and Eila. Each of them carries forward his memory with love and the countless stories he left behind.

He is preceded in by is paternal grandparents Ronald and Kathleen Sawyer, and his maternal grandparents, Jim and Rose Wilcox.
