Juanieta Brantley Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Jul. 1, 2025.
Juanieta Brantley, 85 of Cosby, TN passed away peacefully into the arms of her savior 06/29/2025. Our Beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother were surrounded by the love she so freely gave during her time on earth. Juanieta was born on 2/12/1940, in Gobey, TN to Albert Duey and Fannie Pearl Long. She was a seamstress for the Levi Strauss & Co. prior to becoming a loving mother to sons, Robert, Timothy, and daughter Shari. Juanieta is survived by her son, Timothy (wife, Brenda) Brantley, daughter, Shari, (husband, Dan) Knight, her grandchildren, Robert (wife, Katie) Corley, Cindy (husband, Michael) Shires, Steven Corley, Whitney Buckner, Alex (wife, Kristi) Brantley, Thomas (wife, Britnay) Brantley, Elizabeth Brantley, and twelve beautiful great-grandchildren; all whom will cherish her memory and carry her love in their hearts. She was preceded in death by her son Robert Clayton Brantley, her grandson Anthony "Shane" Henry, and her loving husband of 70 years Winfield Clayton Brantley. A woman of unwavering faith, Juanieta lived her life as a testament to the love and grace of Jesus Christ. Her bible was worn from use, her prayers deep and sincere, and her heart always open to those in need. Whether it was a warm meal, a kind word, or a quiet act of generosity, she embodied Christ's love in every corner of her life. For Juanieta, it was her role as "Grandma" that brought her the greatest joy. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were her treasures; each one fiercely loved, constantly prayed for, and endlessly celebrated. Often, she could be found with a grandbaby on her lap, a story on her lips, or cookies in the oven. Her laughter filled rooms, and her hugs had a way of making the world feel right again. Juanieta taught us how to live with grace, how to forgive with our whole hearts, and how to hold on to hope even when the road was hard. She leaves behind a legacy of faith, love, and family that will live on for generations. Family and friends will gather at Rose Funeral & Cremation Broadway at 12:15 pm Sunday July 6, 2025, and travel in procession to Greenwood Cemetery for a 1:00 pm graveside service to celebrate Juanieta's life. In lieu of flowers, the family asked that you honor her memory by a donation to the American Cancer Society or doing an act of kindness in her name. Well done, good and faithful servant!"
