JUANITA FRANCES RAPER
Juanita Frances Raper, age 83, of Versailles, Missouri, passed away Saturday, January 4, 2025 at her home. She was born August 29, 1941 in Moniteau County, Missouri, a daughter of John Henry and Lola Irene (Purnell) Stinson.
On February 25, 1960 in Kansas City, Missouri, she was united in marriage to John Ramon Raper, Sr. Together they shared nearly fifty years of marriage before his passing on February 2, 2010.
Juanita was raised in Moniteau County, Missouri and lived most of her life in the Kansas City area. She retired from the Social Security Administration in 1996 after many years of service. She moved to the Lake of the Ozarks area six years ago. In her spare time, she enjoyed reading, doing puzzles, embroidery and crochet.
Survivors include three children, Rebecca Alvarez of Versailles, Missouri, John Raper and wife Tammy of Independence, Missouri with a family of five children (Ryan, Robbie, Tyler Milliren, Tasha Settle, Megan Connelly and their twelve grandchildren) and Christopher Rapper and wife Janene of Rocky Mount, Missouri; five grandchildren, Joshua Raper, Felicia Malcolm, Christina Rapper, Brandon Rapper and Jesse Rapper; nine great-grandchildren; three siblings, Marcella Tyler, David Stinson and Helen Ziesman.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a daughter, Cherryl Raper, two sisters and three brothers.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, February 1, 2025 at Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home of Versailles. Visitation will be from 1:00 until service time in the funeral home.
Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of the Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home of Versailles.
