Judy Lynn Hancock, 84 of Abilene passed from this earth on February 26, 2025. Judy had been
residing at Bronte Health and Rehab center for the last couple of months. Her sister Lois Reilly
moved her to Bronte, so she could take care of her in her final days. Lois was her angel on
earth.
Judy was born in Lubbock, Texas on November 11, 1940, to Chester and Imagene Long. Judy
was a beautiful woman on the inside and outside. In her younger years she worked as a model,
she was also a hairdresser for many years. Judy's real passion was taking care of people. She
had such a love for people, she opened an assisted living center. She named it Choices. She
was still caring for, and loving people until the age of 83.
Judy loved her family very much. She had two sons, Jonathan and David Hancock. She came
from a large family, having three brothers and five sisters. Judy came to know Our Lord and
Savior as a young woman, she would study the Lord's Word in Greek, and was very deep in His
Word. Judy is now at home in the arms of Jesus, and with the family that has gone on before
her.
Judy was proceeded in death by her parents Chester and Imagene Long, her husband Donald
Hancock, and son David Hancock. She is also proceeded in death by two brothers, Hugh and Bill
Long. Three sisters also proceeded her in death, Yvonne Jordan, Ylovia White and Jeanne
Goade.
Those left to cherish her memory: Son Jonathan Hancock, brother James Long, sisters Lois Reilly
and Audrey Womack. She had many nieces and nephews that adored her.
Judy has had a private gathering in the arms of Jesus, there will be no funeral service.
