Judy Rae Heath, 83, of Minnetonka, MN, died Thursday, January 9, 2025 at Mount Olivet Careview Home, in Minneapolis, after a short battle with cancer and other health related issues.
She was born September 24, 1941 in LaCrosse, WI to Charles and Damaris (Rhoades) Young. On February 28, 1963, she married Oscar V. Heath in St. Paul, MN.Together, they had two children, Rochelle and Chandler. Judy was a homemaker who later worked different part time jobs. She was employed at Daytons for many years. She then attended classes to learn about her true passion of Interior Design and decorating. She loved to shop, which was a hereditary trait shared with her mother and four sisters. She was known to be the life of the party on more than one occasion, especially family get togethers in Wisconsin. She loved to travel and visit the ocean. She was most proud of her grandchildren, whom she would lovingly brag about any chance she got.
Judy is survived by her children, Rochelle (Alan) Telander of Alexandria, MN and Chandler (Karen) Heath of Minneapolis, MN; five grandchildren, Ryan (Abbie) Heath, Evan Heath, Abby (Austin) Smith, Arden Heath and Aaron (Ashley) Telander; three great-grandchildren, Ryder Smith, Ella Telander and Lee Telander; three sisters, Sandy Opheim of Amherst, OH, Kathleen (William) Crowley of Chicago, IL, and Diane (Gordon) Mickschl of Lakeville, MN; and many nieces and nephews.
Judy was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Damaris Young ; sister, Sharon McCabe ; two brother-in-laws; one niece; and one nephew.
A celebration of Life will be held in her honor in the spring of 2025.
