Judy Duncan Howard, 81, of Marion, passed away peacefully at her residence on Monday, July 7, 2025 with family by her side.
A native of McDowell County, she was born December 12, 1943 to the late Florence Duncan.
Judy was wholly devoted to her family, and she found joy in the small moments spent with her loved ones. She delighted in the simple pleasures of life, often found playing Bingo or watching her favorite television programs. She had a fondness for game shows and soap operas. Her genuine spirit made her a beloved figure among friends and family, who will undoubtedly carry her memory in their hearts. Throughout her life, Judy's simplicity was matched only by her profound dedication to her family. They were her proudest accomplishments.
In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her brother, William Duncan; her sisters, Reva Egerton and Lois Jean Lewis; and a nephew, David Brooks.
Those left to cherish her memory are her two children, Richard Howard and Angela Howard (Wade Silvers); two grandchildren, Christopher and Hunter; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Friday, July 11, 2025 from 2:00 until 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Beam Funeral Service with a memorial service to follow at 3:00 p.m. with Rev. Craig Price officiating.
Following the service, family and friends are welcome to gather at Angela and Wade’s home.
