Judy Dara (Betts) Martin, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away on June 30, 2025 at the age of 71, in
Bunnell, FL. Born on July 2, 1953 to Ellis E. "Jack" and Rosabelle (Menzies) Betts in Springfield, MO. Judy loved and put her trust in Jesus. She believed 2 Corinthians 5:8...when absent from the body, you're present with the Lord, Judy lived most of her life in Newton, KS. She was a homemaker. She loved her family very much and will be missed dearly. She attended Liberty Baptist Church for many years until she was physically unable to attend. She loved listening to Christian sermons and reading her bible. She knew exactly where she was going when she took her last breath here on earth. She couldn't wait to see Jesus. She wanted people to know the most important thing in this life is to trust Jesus and make Him Lord of your life today. She dreamed of traveling one day to lakes and mountains with a cabin to stay in. She loved the sound of rain. She loved music and singing. She said, even though she can't carry a tune in a bucket, it was always one of her favorite things to do. She loved good food and wished for more laughter in her life. She said it does the soul good, to laugh. If you knew her, then you knew she was not afraid to speak up. People said she was a spitfire, witty, had a good sense of humor and sometimes, she was particular and opinionated. She also had a soft spot for the underdog and tried to help others down on their luck (friends or strangers) when she could. She had beautiful eyes, beautiful red hair, a beautiful smile and a laugh we will miss. She tried to make life happier for her kids, whenever she could. Judy is survived by her husband, James E. Martin and her children, Tonya M. (Martin, Murdock,) Gsegnet (spouse Anthony R. Gsegnet), Preston E. Martin, and Chadwick E. Martin. She has 5 grandchildren, Jordan Brundage, Elise R.
