Mrs. Judy Kay Wiles beloved wife and devoted mother and grandmother, of Elkin, passed away Saturday, August 2, 2025 surrounded by family and friends at home.
Mrs. Wiles was born July 8, 1946 in Surry County to Arl and Florence Burcham Smith. She enjoyed many years in retail sales at Surrey Gift Shoppe in downtown Elkin before becoming a bank teller at Wells Fargo.
Mrs. Wiles was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter; Mary Melissa Wiles, brothers; John Smith, James Smith, Bobby Smith, Joe Smith, and David Smith, sisters; Marie Southard and Margaret Dimmette.
Survivors include, her husband; Dale Wiles of the home, sons; John Worth Wiles and Anthony Wiles both of Elkin, sister; Arlene Johnson of Pinnacle, grandchildren; Mary Wiles, Christon Wiles, Morgan Wiles, and Katherine ‘Seth’ Wiles, great-grandchild; Cypress Wiles, and numerous loving nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life will be held Tuesday, August 12, 2025 at 5:00pm in the Elkin Funeral Service Chapel. The family will receive friends following the Celebration of Life.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Neuroendocrine Tumor Research Foundation, www.netrf.org in Judy’s memory.
