Julia "Julie" Smith, 65, of Escanaba, passed away unexpectedly on June 30, 2025, at her home.
Julie was born on August 28, 1959 in Corunna, Michigan. She was the daughter of Harold Ralph and Audrey Marie (Gerhardstein) Green and was raised in Bryon, Michigan.
She was an active member of the Escanaba Eagles Club.
Among survivors include her son, Edward (Crystal) Gray of Escanaba; grandchildren, Brandon Gray, Erik Gray, and Melissa Hader; two great-grandchildren; brother, Jerry (Mary) Green-Lennon; nieces, Mindy and Tara; and nephew, Troy.
Along with her parents, Julia is preceded in death by family Edward E. Gray, George "Chip" Houghton, Walter Smith, and Ben Thompson.
A celebration of life will take place at the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Escanaba, Tuesday, July 15th from 4 – 6 PM.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests that any memorials to be directed to assist with funeral expenses. A donation can be made by visiting www.crawfordfuneralhomes.net and using the Tribute Fund Tab.
