Julie Ann Forseth

Of Waupaca, age 69, passed away peacefully at home on July 12, 2025, after a short but brave battle with cancer. She went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Born on December 8, 1955, in Waupaca. Julie was a kind, gentle soul with a deep love for nature, music, and her family. She found peace and joy in the outdoors, especially while hiking the Ice Age Trail. Her favorite trail, the Faraway Valley Loop, was where she felt most connected to the beauty of creation. Julie's appreciation for the natural world was reflected in the way she lived, quietly, meaningfully and full of wonder.
Julie was also a lifelong musician who played the flute with grace and devotion. She shared her music in church and for many years with the Waupaca City Band. She loved all kinds of music
and regularly went out to support local and live music.
She was also a lover of animals, especially cats. Julie was known for her patience, soft heart and calm and steady presence.
She is survived by her loving husband, Jerry Forseth; six children: Joni (Adam) Tevis, Carrie (Scott) Zastoupil; Mike (Heather) Riverun, Jonathan Olson, Shaun Metoxen and Shannon Metoxen; seven grandchildren: Anthony, Faith, Ethan, Riley, Emma, Ethereal and Blue; great granddaughter: Amaia; brother: Gregg Marquard, sister: Janeen Sward; and special friend Nathan Olson. She is also remembered by extended family and many dear friends. Julie was preceded in death by her parents, Gordon and Marilyn Marquard.
The Memorial Service will be on Monday, July 21, 2025 at 4 p.m. at the funeral home. The visitation will be on Monday at the funeral home from 2 p.m. until the time of the service. A memorial has been established.
She will be deeply missed by all who knew her, but her spirit lives on in the forests she walked, the music she loved, and the hearts of those who loved her.
