Julie Nelson Obituary
Julie Elizabeth Nelson, 50, of Rock, WV, passed away on Sunday, February 1, 2026 at her home.
Born on May 13, 1975 in Bluefield, WV, she was a daughter of Richard Junior and Margaret Horton Nelson of Rock. She had been a resident of Duhring for 50 years and was a talented hairdresser. Julie’s cosmetology career spanned 33 years.
Survivors in addition to her parents include her brother, David Richard Nelson of Colorado Springs, CO and special friend Steve Lilly.
Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, February 5, 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home Chapel in Bluewell with Minister Rod Hedrick officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Bluewell.
Friends may call prior to services, from 10:00-11:00 AM at the funeral home.
