Julie Padgett Obituary
Julie Ann 'Jill' Padgett
Feb. 16, 1981 – July 22, 2025
Funeral Service for Julie Ann "Jill" Padgett, 44, of Gore, were held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, July 29, 2025, at Agent Millsap Event Center in Gore, under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.
Born on Feb. 16, 1981, in Muskogee, Jill was the youngest sibling of two in the loving home of Frances Irene (Bennett) Archibald and William Charles "Bill" Padgett.
She was raised in Gore by her mother and beloved father. She spent much of her time growing up on her daddy's heels–hunting, fishing, cutting trees, hauling hay, and everything in between. She loved her parents beyond measure, but it was her daddy who stood tallest in her eyes-her lifelong hero. After her daddy's passing, her sister stepped in with quiet strength and unwavering love, doing her best to keep Jill out of as much trouble as she could. And for those who truly knew Jill, you understand-that was no easy feat. Her sister would say this was an impossible task. But through it all, her sister never wavered. She loved her fiercely, protected her fiercely, and held her close when the world felt too heavy. From childhood to adulthood, their bond was a testament to the enduring power of sisterhood.
Many family and friends fondly recall that Jill was not afraid of anything. There wasn't a tree she wouldn't climb, a motorcycle she wouldn't ride, or a dare she wouldn't take. Her spirit was untamed, and her courage boundless.
Jill spent much of her life as a homemaker, and for a time she worked as a caregiver-supporting others in the role she cherished. Jill loved caring for others-filling their bellies, lifting their spirits, and always making them laugh.
The joy of her life was giving birth to her daughter, Ashley, and some years later, her son, Cole. She loved nothing more than being a mother and an aunt to her three nieces. She strongly protected and cared for her family.
She is survived by her daughter, Ashley Hensley of Preston; her son, Cole Ralston of Gore; mother, Frances Archibald of Gore; one sister, Tayna Sheffield and Jonathan of Gore; three nieces, Farron Culton and Ke'Landus of Owasso, Mallori Rice and Garrett of Gore and Addison Sheffield of Gore; great uncle, Charles Bennett of Gore; four aunts, Terry Irving and Roger of Gore, Brenda Bennett of Haskell, Penny Magee and Richard of Oolagah, and Trish Carter and Ralph of Webbers Falls; uncle, Jeff Rodden of Gore; grandmother, Bonnie Bennett of Owasso; and several other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father.
