Julio Luis Emilio de los Angeles Rendon Parreño, age 94, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 5, 2025. He was born in Guayaquil, Ecuador to Angel Luis Rendon and Amada Parreño, and immigrated to the United States in 2000.
Julio will be remembered as a stern but loving husband and father, a lighthearted and jokester grandfather, and a gentle, kind great-grandfather. He lives on in the hearts of his family and those whose lives he touched.
He is survived by his wife of 74 years, Maria Eugenia Arellano de Rendon; his children: Jorge Luis Rendon Arellano and wife Monica Vasquez de Rendon; Lupita Rendon de Morales and husband Leonardo Morales; Maria Auxiliadora Rendon de Andrade and husband Hernan Andrade; and Jenny Priscilla Rendon.
He also leaves behind his cherished grandchildren: Juan Marcelo Andrade Rendon, Maria Jose Andrade Rendon, Monica Rendon DeMeo and husband Anthony DeMeo, Jorge Maximiliano Rendon and wife Hannah Valdez Rendon, Maria Emilia Rendon Wright and husband Thomas Wright, Milena Valdez Sherman and husband Dylan Sherman, and Carlos Luis Valdez Rendon.
Julio was also blessed with four great-granddaughters: Sofia Renee Rendon, Penelope Mae Wright, Olivia Maxine Rendon, and Isabella Marie Sherman.
A visitation and memorial service will be held at Downing Funeral Home on Thursday, July 10, 2025, beginning at 3:00 PM.
He will be deeply missed and forever loved.
