June Bollan Baker of Plainview, Arkansas, passed away peacefully on July 28, 2025 at the age of 89. She was born in Anderson, Indiana, to Ulyes and Wilma Hough. She dearly loved her younger brothers, Bob and David who live in Missouri, and Jimmy who preceded her in death.
June spent many years living in Colorado before moving back to Plainview. She loved the Colorado mountains and worked as a waitress in the same restaurant for over 35 years.
She especially loved spending time at Danville's Leon Millsap Senior Center. She was a fierce competitor in bean bag baseball and arm chair volleyball and was so proud of the trophies her teams won. She always loved to go – whether it was for music in Ola on Tuesday nights, out to eat, or just for a ride.
She attended Plainview Free Will Baptist Church and was sincerely beloved by the congregation.
June is survived by her children, Charlene Bollan Tatum (John) of Aurora, Colorado; Marlene Bollan Bishop (Nathan) of Plainview; Gary Bollan (Becky) of Hot Springs; and Rocky Bollan of Plainview; six grandchildren Brad Tatum (Santina) of Santa Clarita, California; Scott Tatum (Andrea) of Escondido, California; Christopher Bishop (Sarah) of Cave Springs; Jeremy Bishop (Michelle) of Nimrod; Lindsey Bollan May (Micah) of Glen Rose; and Derek Bollan (Samantha) of Hot Springs. She leaves twelve great-grandchildren: Coralie and Wyatt Tatum; Griffin and Levi Tatum; Sadie Bishop; Kaylee and Dylan Bishop; Zander, Zavery and Zion May; and Abby and Asher Bollan. She is also survived by her special sweetheart Charles Deeds - who was so good to her.
Funeral services will be held at the Plainview Free Will Baptist Church on Friday, August 1, at 2:00 pm. Visitation will be held at the church from 1:00 to 2:00 prior to the service. Burial will be in Salem Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Brad and Scott Tatum, Christopher and Jeremy Bishop, Derek Bollan and Micah May. In lieu of flowers donations to the Leon Millsap Senior Center in Danville, Arkansas in June's memory would be appreciated.
