"My flesh and my heart faileth: But God is the strength of my heart, and my portion for ever." Psalm 73:26
It is with great difficulty and saddened hearts that we announce the passing of Dr. Karen Faye Wallis (Hereford). Karen passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 15, 2025, surrounded by her family, at the age of 73. The family will be honoring her request for no services.
Born on April 29, 1952, to Richard and Janiece (Claxton) Hereford, Karen was raised in Claremore, OK and graduated from Claremore High School. Karen continued her education at Oklahoma State University where she received her Bachelor of Science degree. She then went on to attend Cleveland Chiropractic College where she received her Doctor of Chiropractic degree. On July 15, 1992, in Bartlesville, OK, Karen married the love of her life, Michael Tucker. The couple made their home in Bartlesville, where Karen successfully founded and led two thriving chiropractic clinics, Wallis Chiropractic and Silver Lake Health and Wellness Center.
Karen truly knew that it was more blessed to give than to receive and her generosity knew no bounds. She spent her life helping others and had a true passion to care for her patients. She was also the family's spiritual compass, and her love for the Lord shone through every aspect of her life. Karen found joy in prayer, strength in scripture, and peace in the promise of eternal life. She shared her faith through kindness, compassion, and an unwavering trust in God's plan.
Never having had children of her own, KK, as she was affectionately known, was a cherished aunt to her nephew and niece, Tyson and Lennon. She was like a second mom to her sister Connie's children, as well as to her husband's daughter, Samantha. As with anything she did, Karen excelled at this role, enriching their lives with unconditional love and wisdom; so much so that her niece, Lennon, followed in her footsteps, becoming a chiropractor. She had a unique and special relationship with each of the kids and created special memories that they will carry with them for the rest of their lives.
When Samantha had children, Karen stepped into a new role as grandmother. McKayla and Kristofferson were a huge part of Karen's life, and it might be said that whatever the grands wanted to do, KK did. They had her full attention at times and once again Karen established a unique and special relationship with each of them.
After selling her Chiropractic businesses, Karen and Michael decided to move back to Claremore. Their new home was situated on the Verdigris River, allowing her to simply step out her back door to enjoy one of her hobbies, fishing. Their home and the beauty that surrounds it gave her the privacy and solitude to enjoy the beauty of all that God created. She had come full circle and she was back home.
Karen has left a legacy that will live on not only in the lives of her family but her many friends and patients as well. Karen is survived by her husband, Michael Tucker, his daughter, Samantha Tucker, nephew, Tyson Smith, niece and her husband, Dr. Lennon Kirkendall and Charles Kirkendall, grandchildren, McKayla Kuplicki and Kristofferson Kuplicki, brother-in-law, Kim Smith and wife Laura. Karen is preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Janiece Hereford, grandparents, Clyde and Grace Claxton, and sister, Connie (Hereford) Smith.

I was one of her customer“s that she helped so much. She was always a professional and she always let God show through her. So sorry to hear she is gone but she is present with her Lord.
