Mrs. Mary Kate Womack King, age 91, of Adairsville, passed away peacefully at home Monday evening, August 18, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.

Mrs. King was born in Gordon County, GA, August 9, 1934, to the late Ralph Edward and Flonnie Mae Grogan Womack. She was a faithful member of Oothcalooga Baptist Church, Adairsville, where she helped serve her community through the Meals on Wheels program and the Senior Luncheon. Mrs. Kate's interests included gardening and tending to her plants, baking and crocheting, especially to make baby blankets for new mothers, and above all she loved spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Charles Billy King; sister, Grace Dodd; brothers, Edward Womack and Vaughnell Womack; and a son-in-law, Jerry Miller.

Survivors include her daughters, Debbie Ammons and Faith Miller, both of Adairsville; a son and daughter-in-law, Joe and Nancy (Cabaniss) King of Adairsville; three grandchildren, Katherine Miller of Acworth, and Brandon King and April King, both of Adairsville; six great-grandchildren, Trystan, Teagan, and Taylor King, and Halen, Jaden and Jax Huskins; a great-great-grandchild, Kove King; two brothers, Byron Womack and Billy Womack, both of Adairsville; several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 21, 2025, at 2:00 PM, from the chapel of Barton Funeral Home, with Rev. Michael Hunt officiating. Interment will follow in Gordon Memorial Gardens, Calhoun. Her grandson and great-grandsons, Brandon King, Trystan King, Teagan King, Halen Huskins, Jaden Huskins and Jax Huskins will serve as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends Thursday from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM at Barton Funeral Home, Adairsville.

R. Dudley Barton & Son Funeral Home, Adairsville, will be in charge of funeral arrangements for Mrs. Mary Kate Womack King.
