Katheren Martin, age 80, passed away peacefully on August 6, 2025, surrounded by her loved ones. She was born on March 14, 1945, in Cleveland, Ohio to the late Jack and Irene Lane. Katheren was the devoted mother of six children: Marlon (Sandy), Londa (Roger), Steve (Susie), Tami (Randy), Shawn (Tracey) and Tania (Randy). She is survived by 21 grandchildren, and 32 great-grandchildren, all of whom were blessed by her love and guidance. She was preceded in death by her youngest daughter, Tania, who passed away at the age of 29. In the face of unimaginable loss, Katheren stepped in with quiet strength, adopted and raised Tania's four children Taria, Dylan (Holly), Austin (Mackenzie) and Brooke, as her own-a true testament to her selflessness and enduring love. She was sassy, full of fire, and deeply loved by everyone who knew her. A woman of strong faith, Katheren was close to God and made sure her children and grandchildren knew Him too. Her home was always a place of comfort, her hands always busy caring for others, and her heart always open. Katheren's legacy is one of resilience, compassion, and fierce devotion to family. She leaves behind a lifetime of love, lessons, and memories that will live on through those who were lucky enough to be loved by her. Visitation will be held at Rudy Funeral Home 25650 Van Dyke in Center Line on Sunday, August 10, 2025, from 1PM until 8 PM and Monday, August 11, 2025 from 10AM until the 11AM Time of Funeral service.
