Kathleen (Kathy) Jan Dube, 82, passed away peacefully at her home in Montgomery, Texas, on July 11, 2025.
She was born on January 13, 1943, in Upland, California, to Gordon Leo "Snap" Foy, Jr. and Virginia Lee Powell. Kathy grew up in Los Altos, California, went on to attend the University of Oregon in Eugene and was proud to be an Oregon Duck.
Kathy spent many years as an Army wife, living in various places across the United States and Germany. She eventually settled in the San Antonio, Texas, area, where she raised her four daughters and began a successful 27-year career with the Internal Revenue Service as a field auditor.
In 1994, Kathy married Ray Dube, blending their families and bringing sons into her life and daughters into his. Their marriage was one of love, laughter, and shared devotion to family. Together, they enjoyed traveling the world, creating cherished memories in far-off places and embracing new experiences side by side.
Kathy's life revolved around her loved ones. She was kind, generous, witty, and possessed an unshakable strength of character. Her warmth and charm left a lasting impression on everyone she met. Kathy had the rare gift of making people feel at ease and truly seen. She was the ultimate host, organizing and planning everything from Happy Hours to formal parties to most of the family gatherings. Kathy will forever be remembered by those who knew her as an active lady with her daily walks, pickleball games, and participation in church clubs.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 31 years, Ray Dube; her sister, Sue Dolezal, and husband Ed; her four daughters: Shannon Hutton, Megan Overman, Erin Locatelli and husband Marc, and Colleen Peterson; her two sons: Nathan Dube and wife Corey, and Cameron Dube and wife Jessica; her favorite nephew, Brian Dolezal; and her nine cherished grandchildren: James, Michael, Joseph, Brenna, Hayley, Evrett, Murphy, Brenden, and Grace. She also leaves behind countless friends who loved her dearly. She was preceded in death by Molly, her faithful cocker spaniel.
Kathy's legacy of love, strength, and compassion will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
