Kathy was a member of AA at the Trintiy United Methodist Church of Algonac where she became a mentor to many people. She enjoyed flowers, gardening, traveling in her motor home, boating and playing golf, and she really loved her "Pugs".
Mrs. Sklut is survived by her husband Greg, son-in-law Miles Carlson, sister Jan (Dennis) Morgan, brothers-in-law Jim (Cindy) Sklut, Bill Sklut, and Joe (Dee) Sklut, sisters-in-law Jennifer (Dave) Delinski and Charlotte (Bob) Calvery, nephews and nieces Mike, Chris, Christina, Ray, Phil, Jimmy, Paige, and Laurin. She was preceded in death by her daughter Kelly Kristine Mueller in 2024.
A celebration of life will be held from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with a memorial service at 12:00 Noon, Tuesday July 15, 2025 at Greg and Kathy's residence 1422 St. Clair River Dr/. Algonac, MI 48001. Casual dress is suggested. Arrangements by the Young Gilbert Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Algonac. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are suggested to the St. Clair County Community Mental Health Authority, 3111 Electric Ave. Port Huron, MI 48060

Greg, Jan, Sklut and Morgan family members,
My deepest sympathy for your loss. I/We will deeply miss Kathy. I met Kathy when my brother Dennis married Jan Beard. Kathy and I immediate found a common interest "the Beach". Both of us shared our love of the "beach" and that we were the happiest at the "beach". We spent many days together in our 20's on the beach in Ft Lauderdale and Good Harbor Beach. I will miss my "beach friend". Much love and sympathy. Susan
